Coating machine operator

Job summary:

As a Coating Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining coating machinery used in the manufacturing process. This includes setting up, adjusting and monitoring the machines to ensure products are produced to the required quality standards. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading raw materials, performing equipment maintenance checks and completing production reports. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

– Set up, operate and maintain coating machinery
– Monitor machine output and adjust settings as needed to maintain quality standards
– Load and unload raw materials onto the machine
– Perform routine maintenance checks on the equipment
– Complete production reports and maintain accurate records
– Follow safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment
– Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues as needed
– Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient production processes
– Participate in training and development activities to improve skills and knowledge
– Maintain a clean and organized work area.

 

Required skills and qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience operating and maintaining coating machinery preferred
– Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
– Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
– Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
– Good communication and teamwork skills
– Basic computer skills for production reporting and equipment monitoring
– Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
– Physical ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

 

Work environment and physical demands:

As a Coating Machine Operator, you will work in a manufacturing environment that can be noisy and require the use of personal protective equipment such as earplugs, safety glasses, and gloves.
