Run-in of slit rolls

1. Maintain correct tension during build-up of roll, and especially during deceleration.
2. Adjust the spreader bar.
3. Ensure that core shafts are locked tightly in the holders and that there is no lateral movement.
4. Avoid an excessive number of splices.
5. May result from tension loss during a splice.
